1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using ReceiptSorter ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

ReceiptSorter is a cloud-based receipt processing service that uses artificial intelligence to extract data from receipt images and PDFs. The Service allows you to upload receipts, extract merchant information, amounts, dates, and other data, and export the results to Excel or CSV formats.

3. User Accounts

To use the Service, you must:

  • Create an account with accurate information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
  • Be responsible for all activity under your account

4. Credits and Payment

The Service operates on a credit-based system. Each receipt processed costs 1 credit. Credits can be purchased through our website using Stripe payment processing. Credits never expire. Prices are subject to change with notice. All sales are final unless otherwise stated in our refund policy.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Upload illegal, fraudulent, or harmful content
  • Attempt to reverse engineer or hack the Service
  • Use the Service to violate any laws or regulations
  • Share your account credentials with others
  • Use automated scripts to abuse the Service

6. Intellectual Property

The Service, including all content, features, and functionality, is owned by ReceiptSorter and protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of your uploaded receipts and extracted data.

7. Data Processing

We process your receipt data using OpenAI's GPT-4 Vision AI. Receipt files are stored securely and automatically deleted after 90 days. See our Privacy Policy for details on how we handle your data.

8. Warranties and Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. We do not guarantee 100% accuracy in receipt data extraction. You are responsible for verifying extracted data before use.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, RECEIPTSORT SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time through your account settings.

11. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or through the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of the Netherlands.
